Your prayers have been answered… Nametag now has multi-wallet support!
You asked, we listened.
From the inception of the Nametag profile, we have received requests for this feature more than anything else.
The ability to link multiple wallets to a given Nametag is central to our mission to become your preferred Web3 profile, because the future of Web3 is multi-wallet and multi-chain. Your Web3 profile should house all the facets of your Web3 identity — not just the contents of a singular wallet.
How to link additional wallets to your Nametag
Step 1
Head to https://nametag.org/wallets/
Step 2
Click on the “Add Addresses” button next to your main wallet address
Step 3
When MetaMask prompts you, select all of the wallets you would like to “link” to your Nametag and proceed
Following this step, you will get to a screen showing your main wallet & the additional addresses you have selected
Step 4
Now you will need to verify your ownership of the added addresses.
Click “Save” on one of the addresses you added.
It will now prompt you to switch to the wallet in MetaMask.
To do this, click the round icon at the top right of your MetaMask instance, and switch to the wallet that it has asked you to switch to.
Step 5
Now that you have switched to a secondary wallet, you may click “Verify” to lock it in & officially link it to your Nametag!
Step 6 (Only relevant if linking more than 1 extra wallet at a time)
If you are linking more than one wallet, be sure to switch back to your main wallet on MetaMask in between linking each new wallet.
And there you have it! You now have all of your NFTs, across multiple wallets at your fingertips, and ready to show off on your Nametag profile!
Please note that we are working on some major UX/UI overhauls that will make this experience much more user-friendly & intuitive — but for now, we sincerely hope this guide serves you well.
